VIDEO: Hathaway on Cybersecurity Law
For the judicial system to work properly, judges need to be educated about cybersecurity law, says Melissa Hathaway, one of the foremost IT security policy experts.

Hathaway, senior adviser at the Belfer Center of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, presented on Wednesday the keynote address at the Cybersecurity Law and Policy forum sponsored by Seton Hall and Rutgers law schools and the Bergen County, N.J., prosecutors office.

In a video interview with GovInfoSecurity, Hathaway summarized points made in her address that also included how the Sony Playstation breach could open new paths for malware infesting users and enterprises and a way for Congress to more efficiently address cybersecurity legislation.

Hathaway is best known as a White House adviser who led President Obama's 60-day cyberspace policy review in 2009 that led to the administration's cybersecurity policy.
