The annual summit, taking place this year at the New York Marriott Downtown in Manhattan, is one of ISMG’s biggest events, drawing top cybersecurity professionals and executives from multiple sectors. This year's summit will include representatives from government, finance and technology, including cybercrime experts from the Treasury Department and FBI, along with industry innovators from Google Cloud Security, to explore the latest defenses against escalating cyberthreats.

Hosted by ISMG’s flagship publication BankInfoSecurity, the full-day event will be ISMG’s largest North American summit this year and comes just two days after a pivotal presidential election, noted Tom Field, senior vice president of editorial at ISMG.

"Our discussion will be non-political, though, focusing on shifting responsibilities for security leaders, SecOps transformation, the state of cyber insurance and protecting digital identity," Field said.

The summit will feature an immersive, high-stakes deepfake tabletop exercise in an interactive solution room session, pushing participants to confront realistic cyberthreats head-on. Attendees will be able to apply key strategies and insights from the event in real time, discovering tangible ways to enhance their organizations’ crisis planning and incident response frameworks.

A key summit session, “Protecting Digital Identity: Combatting Account Takeovers in Financial Services,” will feature Anthony Scarola, senior vice president and director of IT governance, risk and compliance at Apple Bank, and Carlos Suarez, deputy information security officer at Helaba, who will discuss the mechanics of account takeover, emerging identity-based attack trends and strategies for strong identity and access management frameworks. Aaron Simpson, partner at Hunton & Williams; Seth Rose, supervisory special agent with the U.S. Treasury's Cyber Investigations Unit; and Michael Woodson, information security director at Sonesta Hotels and a CyberEdBoard member; will explore emerging financial cybercrime threats including synthetic identity fraud and advanced social engineering attacks in the panel session, “New Age of Payment Fraud: Hackers vs. Heroes.”

"The sector is at a critical juncture,” said Jennifer Eisenhofer, vice president of events at ISMG. “To address this alarming trend, this summit aims to break down silos, equip professionals with groundbreaking insights and promote a more holistic view of cybersecurity."
