Taking a More Quantifiable Security Risk Approach

Saket Modi, CEO, Safe Security

When security teams buy dozens of security products, they also get dozens of dashboards and sometimes conflicting ways to approach security, which can create its own risk, said Saket Modi, CEO of Safe Security.

These assortments of products "are not talking to each other," he said. "Business leaders don't have visibility into their risk."

The associated problems can be greatly reduced by integrating existing threat detection tools in a way that nontechnical leaders of an organization have the necessary visibility into the quantifiable security risk, he said.

In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2023, Modi discusses:

  • Common gaps in security defense approaches;
  • Challenges involving security product consolidation;
  • His company's evolution as a services provider into a cybersecurity and digital business risk quantification firm.

Modi, CEO and co-founder of Safe Security, is a computer science engineer by education. He founded Safe Security in 2012 while in his final year of engineering at the LNM Institute of IT.
