Strengthening Cybersecurity for Organizations Without a SOC
Malwarebytes' CEO Marcin Kleczynski on Consolidating Tool Sets to Simplify SecurityThe lack of a dedicated security operations center can make it difficult for smaller organizations to benefit from security tools, said Malwarebytes co-founder and CEO Marcin Kleczynski. To streamline security, Kleczynski said it's crucial to have a user-friendly interface and experience that is easy to comprehend and understand.

"You can't expect an SMB to shell out hundreds of dollars per endpoint to just protect devices," Kleczynski said. "This needs to be a compelling and comprehensive offering - from email to DNS to vulnerability and patch management - trying to bring all of that into a single console, single pane of glass, for a pretty compelling price."
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2023, Kleczynski also discusses:
- Why lacking a SOC makes it tough to get value from security tools;
- Steps vendors must take to simplify and streamline protection for SMBs;
- How DNS filtering and patch management can be made accessible to SMBs.
Kleczynski has overseen Malwarebytes' growth from a one-man band to over 800 employees. Today, he leads the strategic expansion of the business and the long-term vision for the research and development teams.
