Now the executive director of the Medical Device Innovation, Safety and Security Consortium, Nordenberg has a unique view of the diverse parties working to improve medical device security.

In an interview at Information Security Media Group's recent New York City Healthcare Security Summit, Nordenberg discusses:

  • The evolution of the medical device security campaign;
  • How the WannaCry outbreak impacted the movement in 2017;
  • What needs to happen to maintain cybersecurity momentum in 2018.

Nordenberg is an executive director of the Medical Device Innovation, Safety and Security Consortium and CEO of the consulting firm Novasano Health and Science. He's the former CIO of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He also co-chairs the Medical Device Security Information Sharing Council for the National Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center.
