Optimizing Threat Intelligence Analysis for CybersecurityFlashpoint's Gardner on Threat Analysis Customization and Workflow Augmentation
A key challenge for intelligence analysts is not just finding the right data intelligence but also determining how much to trust it and how to make it relevant and actionable to their organization's overall security and intelligence operations.
Flashpoint is meeting this challenge by streamlining intelligence handoffs and making workflows "easier, a lot more intuitive and just faster," said Patrick Gardner, chief product and engineering officer at Flashpoint.
"Rather than going and finding information, we're working on serving them information and giving them all the context they need to quickly take action and mitigate that risk," he said.
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2023, Gardner also discusses:
- How to address data leaks in the form of video and images;
- Flashpoint's unique approach to intelligence dissemination;
- Advice for organizations just starting to conduct intelligence analysis for cyber and physical security.
At Flashpoint, Gardner is responsible for the company's overall product strategy, vision and execution, delivering to customers a platform that helps them identify and remediate risks across multiple use cases while leveraging artificial intelligence and automation to accelerate repeatable security-related processes. Gardner was previously an executive at Symantec and served as CTO at Time by Ping.
