National Cybersecurity Center Wiki Mulled

Wiki to Let Personnel in Six Locales Collaborate The Department of Homeland Security is in the process of having a so-called cyber ops wiki developed to facilitate collaboration among staffers at its National Cybersecurity Center locales scattered around the country.

DHS, in a notice posted this week on FedBizOpps.gov, says the contractor developing the wiki is an Austin, Texas, firm called Wiikno, under a program aimed at furnishing government contracts to businesses owned by disabled veterans.

According to the notice, the cyber ops wiki would be used by DHS's six National Cybersecurity Center locations and other government agencies as a collaboration tool, development platform for improved situational awareness and means to communicate and share information.

DHS expects the wiki to be deployed in the next fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1.
