Real Threat Intelligence

David Duncan of Webroot on New Partnerships, Solutions
Everyone is talking about threat intelligence, but what are the characteristics that make it useful? David Duncan of Webroot offers insights on new solutions and partnerships.

Traditionally, threat intelligence has been a written list. But what security leaders really need is a three-dimensional view of threats.

In an interview recorded at RSA 2014, Duncan discusses:

  • True threat intelligence;
  • New security solutions aimed at the enterprise;
  • The power of industry partnerships.

Duncan joined Webroot in January 2013, after previously serving for 11 years as CEO & President of ENCRYPTX, an endpoint security company with over 30 million users, that was acquired by Imation Corporation. Duncan has over 30 years of experience in the information security industry, including 10 years with the National Security Agency as a Cryptologist, and as a trusted system designer/developer for a number of US government systems. He also co-founded the indirect channels business at StorageTek, and served as Senior Vice President of Channel Tactics.
