The Democratization of Security

Jakubowski and Lilly of Netrix on Breaking Down the 'Cybersecurity Divide'
Sebastian Jakubowski, manager, network security, Netrix; Rich Lilly, partner, director, security, Netrix

Cybersecurity threats are democratic: Any target is good. Defenses, alas, are not - they vary depending on the size of an enterprise and especially the size of its budget. Sebastian Jakubowski and Rich Lilly of Netrix want to change this dynamic and introduce a new "democratization of security."

In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Jakubowski and Lilly discuss:

  • The disconnect between threats and security;
  • The merits of outsourcing cybersecurity;
  • The value of a provider with a modern SOC and end-to-end services.

Jakubowski joined Netrix in 2015 as a network and security architect with a deep understanding of complex, diverse networks and security solutions and the challenges around their design, implementation and support.

Lilly has been working in IT consulting for 17 years in various roles and has led projects with staff sizes from five to 50 members - both consulting and on-site IT staff.
