Dr. Matthew Kane spent years in the Canadian Armed Forces as an intelligence officer, honing his skills in deception detection. Now, as CEO of Solaris Intelligence, he’s helping organizations spot and stop fraud and malicious insiders.

In a video interview at Information Security Media Group's recent Cybersecurity Summit in Toronto, Kane discusses:

  • The science of deception detection;
  • How to apply the techniques;
  • Practical applications in the workplace.

Kane began his career in deception detection with the Canadian Armed Forces as an intelligence officer. After leaving the military, he used his intelligence experience and broadened his skill set to fill the civilian need for deception detection. During this time he met future founding partner Joe Kitson and went on to form Solaris Intelligence.
