Mirza advises organizations to look at their response function in its entirety. One single action will not fully mitigate a breach or vulnerability. “It’s going to be a holistic response, and a lot of different factors are going to come into play,” she says.

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Mirza discusses:

  • The current status of CCPA enforcement and the implementing regulations;
  • How CCPA changes the information security landscape;
  • Changes to the notice and cure provision and what constitutes data breach remediation.

Mirza, cybersecurity, information governance and privacy attorney at Troutman Pepper, focuses her practice on the financial services industry.
