Business Imperative: Cloud Adoption, With Security
Sysdig's Knox Anderson and 7-Eleven's Sujeet Bambawale on Cloud Security EssentialsAs more organizations move to the cloud, expect attackers to follow. That's why it's imperative that as organizations adopt more cloud-based infrastructure, they maintain DevOps workflows designed to deploy cloud resources, including containers and Kubernetes, in a secure manner. But what best practices should organizations be following to ensure their cloud security journey is a smooth and safe one?
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group as part of ISMG’s RSA Conference 2021 coverage, Sujeet Bambawale, CISO of 7-Eleven, and Knox Anderson, vice president of product at Sysdig, discuss:
- Common cloud adoption and security challenges facing organizations;
- Best practices for cloud adoption, including for infrastructure;
- Ideal workflows for securing cloud operations.
Anderson is vice president of product at Sysdig, where he has been for five years. As one of the company's first employees, he helped lead Sysdig from the ground up and has a proven record of building, launching and growing security, health and compliance applications built on top of containers and Kubernetes. He has held product marketing and product management roles throughout his career.
Prior to joining 7-Eleven, Bambawale spent five years at NetApp and over 10 years with Intuit after working with the information security and risk management teams at Ernst & Young and KMPG. He also led enterprise security at LifeLock, which was acquired by Symantec’s Consumer Business Unit shortly after.
