Senior Vice President & CIO, Cook Children's Health Care System

Theresa Meadows, MS, RN, CHCIO, FHIMSS, is Senior Vice President and CIO for Fort Worth-based Cook Children's Health Care System. Meadows leads a team of 200 covering such areas as infrastructure, applications, telecommunications, and program management. Under Meadows' watch, Cook Children's received Healthcare's "Most Wired" designation in 2013 and 2014 and was recognized by Computerworld's Honors program for their state-of-the-art distributed antenna system implementation.

Prior to joining Cook Children's, Meadows was Director for Ascension Health Information Services, where she led the strategic direction for clinical information solutions, and served as chair for the North Texas Healthcare Information and Quality Collaborative. She currently serves on the NetApp Healthcare Advisory Board and is a member of the McKesson Innovation Leadership Council; is an active member of the Children's Hospital Association CIO Council; is a Fellow in the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS); is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is an active member of the CHIME. She has a master's degree in healthcare informatics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
