Dikeidek is the head of information security at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, or UI Health. In 2000, he was the first IT security analyst for the Military Nutrition Division at the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine. In 2003, he left the military and joined UI Health, where he was its first IT security engineer and established its first information security team in 2012. In 2009, he created and taught the first pilot cybersecurity course at Morton College in Cicero, Illinois and taught at several other Illinois colleges.
