Expel is out with its annual threat report, and the results point to a spike in identity threats. Jon Hencinski discusses the report, including how attackers are defeating MFA, how adversaries are taking advantage of VPNs, and what to look for in pre-ransomware activity.

Hencinski is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Expel's security operations center and detection and response engineering. He oversees how the company recruits, trains and develops security analysts. Hencinski has over a decade of experience in the areas of SOC operations, threat detection and incident response. Prior to Expel, he worked at Mandiant and BAE Systems and was an adjunct professor at The George Washington University.
