Tom Davis, the former Virginia congressman who authored the Federal Information Security and Management Act, has joined the board of directors of Agilex Technologies, a Washington area technology firm.
He fills the seat left vacant by the death in May of another former Republican representative, Jack Kemp, who ran for vice president in 1996.
Davis had chaired the House Government Reform Committee, which provides information security oversight, and is now director of Deloitte Federal Government Services. His name has surfaced as a possible White House cybersecurity coordinator, a job that he has indicated he does not want.
The former lawmaker has worked with Agilex CEO Robert LaRose at a previous company LaRose had founded.
